The Hopper Ward
Formed in January 07 after early demos by (vocalist/songwriter) Mick and (drummer/producer) Jim were well received. With Jim Elliott (Banjo/Stylophone) and James Robertson (Bass) the band soon completed their live line-up. The Hopper Ward combine influences such as spaghetti westerns and psychedelic pop with a great ear for melody and simple toe-tapping arrangements. With airplay from respected DJ´s Steve Lamacq (Radio 2) and Clint Boon (XFM). Support slots with the Inspiral Carpets and The Futureheads has seen the bands performances fast gaining a growing reputation and a loyal following. Currently putting together new material in their studio, the band hope these will see the light of day before the end of the summer. |
